Maki Gotou - Sayonara "Tomodachi ni wa naritaku nai no"

Single: Sayonara "Tomodachi ni wa Naritakunai no"
Artist/Singer: Maki Gotou

Sayonara "Tomodachi ni wa Naritakunai no
Lyrics: Tsunku
Composer: Hatake
Arr.: Suzuki "Daichi" Hideyuki

I have definitely got to stop downloading those crappy radio previews of H!P songs. When I first heard this song, the quality was so bad I decided I didn't really like it. But I watched the PV later and totally fell in love with the song. Maki's deep voice in this song is really nice to listen to and the music behind it helps to give it a drive. There's not much to say other than "excellent song". It's now in my favorites category.

ALL MY LOVE ~22seiki~
Lyrics: Tsunku
Composer: Tsunku
Arr.: AKIRA

The more of Maki's singles that I listen to the more I realize I was wrong that a c/w song is just there to take up space. "ALL MY LOVE" is probably becoming one of my favorite songs from her. I still think I would have liked Maki to sing with a less "childish" tone in her voice, but it makes sense with the song. It has a kind of cute, R&B/pop style to it which adds to the lyrics. It's a sweet, little song about love in one of its pure, simple forms. My only problem was that it felt a bit short. It's such a nice song; you'd like it to play for just a little longer so you can enjoy it more without hitting repeat.

Jpop review blog

Yeah, the title says "Music", but come on....everybody knows 98% of what I listen to is Japanese music. Most likely the majority of what I review is going to be Jpop. I'll just get that out of the way now, so you won't feel surprised later on when you notice an obvious pattern, hehe.

The blog is for fun, so I don't care whether or not my reviews are ever read by anyone. I do plan to basically review music that I like or that comes from artists I'm a fan of. I don't know if there is a point in reviewing something you don't find enjoyable. Of course, it never helps when some of the negative reviews are ignorant and rude. I hope my reviews won't be like that (unless, I'm having a bad day, hehe) and hopefully any "negative reviews" I make will be mature and intelligent.

Anyway, lets get these reviews started
